Who we are

The Jeffrey and Cynthia Baumeister Foundation was founded with a $4,000,000 commitment in 2018. Located in Venice, Florida, the foundation works in conjunction with the Gulf Coast Community Foundation (GCCF), a $444 million-dollar philanthropic fund headquartered in Sarasota, Florida. GCCF has been in existence since 1995.

The Jeffrey and Cynthia Baumeister Foundation was established just before Cindy’s passing in 2021 after a courageous ten-year battle with ovarian cancer. During that illness, Cindy showed remarkable courage and expressed a desire to support charitable endeavors including educational institutions, faith -based organizations, community needs and animal welfare.
